It’s official, Mikey Wright received, for the second time in a row, a wildcard for the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast, the first event of the 2017 season of the Championship Tour.

From last year, we remember Mikey as a spotlight in Round 1 defeating 2015 World Champion, Adriano De Souza, and Kolohe Andino. Wright then went on to loose to the same Adriano in their Round 3 one-on-one matchup.

Younger brother to Owen and 2016 World Champion Tyler, Mikey is almost the perfect foil to his brother and sister’s competitive act.
A unique, engaging character who brings a fair bit of craziness to the start of the 2017 season!

Stoked to get the wildcard again this year for the @quiksilver pro. Thank you @mikypicon #quikpro
